Clash of the Titans: Manchester United Draw Tottenham in Premier League Matchday 21 Results

After a bit of a lull, the English Premier League is back and brought with it a much-awaited clash between Man United and Tottenham. Things were tense, really tense, with a cloud of tension even visible on the camera lenses. It was the clash we'd all been anticipating, a clash of the titans.

Second Home Goal for Hojlund

Things got off pretty quickly as United's Rasmus Hojlund scored in the 3rd minute, marking his second home goal for United, in two consecutive matches. Hojlund had scored his maiden home goal in their clash against Aston Villa in EPL GW 19.

The morale for both sides was on a high, with each team aching for a chance to pounce. It wasn't long before Richarlison equalized for Spurs, scoring a brilliant goal in the 19th minute. The scores were now 1-1 and either of the teams needed something.

A Rush of Rashford

The savior for Man United was Marcus Rashford. Rashford scored United's second goal in the 40th minute, as he'd gotten into a campaign of torture against Spurs. Despite waylaying his sharps in the past few weeks, Rashford was out to give Spurs hell and boy did he make it hard for them.

Despite his efforts, however, Rodrigo Bentacur equalized for Tottenham, scoring their second goal in the 46th minute. As if the storm had come and passed on by, both teams failed to see the other team's net in the second half, ending the match a satisfactory 2-2.

Are Man United Getting Better?

Yes and No. United are doing well and yesterday we saw them really push to win the game. They are, however, making all the same mistakes including faltering in defense with the likes of Jonny Evans not thoroughly marking their men. United feels a lot like a dependable car that just needs a little bit of tuning and wheel alignment.

Ange Still the Man

On Tottenham's side, coach Ange Postecoglou continues to show that he's still the man with his boys playing so fluidly. The team were without the services of captain Son Heung-Min, who is on Asian Cup duty for South Korea, but played just as well. Spurs are a really good team right now and I see no reason for them to not contend for the Premier League Title.

Man City Beat Newcastle in Premier League GW 21 Results

In St. James' Park, another clash of the titans was underway, this time pitting Manchester City against Newcastle. The two teams are undoubtedly titans, with Newcastle playing the role of the underdog and Man City as the undisputable giant, the defending champions.

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for Man City in the 26th minute, a fantastic ball in as we've come to expect of him, with Alexander Isak equalizing for Newcastle in the 35th minute. It wasn't long, moreover, before Anthony Gordon sent in a second one for Newcastle, forcing Man City to conjure up a comeback.

Man City Comeback Against Newcastle

The first of the two comeback goals from City came from Kevin De Bruyne in the 74th minute, a powerful equalizer that leveled morale for both teams.

Then came the winning goal from Oscar Bobb in 90 +1', cementing Man City's place as the team to beat and ending the game 3-2. Here's what Pep had to say about Bobb.

City played phenomenally well, as we expect of them, but Newcastle played remarkably well given their run these past few weeks and how far they've come under coach Eddie Howe.
