Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan Season 3

Season 3 of Jack Ryan takes us to Russia. Ryan realizes that there's a plot to re-establish the Soviet Union. The plot is the brainchild of hardline Russian soldiers who were part of the Red Army before the fall of the wall. The Russian dictatorship back then had a nuclear program known as Sokol, which was designed to create a nuclear weapon that was undetectable. Jack Ryan is on to this and has to find out who's behind Sokol.

Things start unfolding as the Russian defense minister Dmitri Popov is assassinated in the Czech Republic. These events lead to the appointment of a new defense minister, Alexei Petrov, played by Alexej Manvelov, who is part of the rogue cabal behind Sokol. Jack has to find a way to stop their nuclear warhead that's headed to the Czech Republic to be detonated, and made to look like part of a U.S. weapons shipment under a NATO convoy.

Jack somehow manages to stop the nuclear missile and survive it going off. He unfolds the whole ploy, thanks in part to Luka Gocharov, played by James Cosmo, a Russian intelligence officer who helps him. They discover that the ploy was a coup attempt against the current Russian president and that the nuclear missile was just part of the escalations. There was also the intent to goad the United States into war but Ryan with the help of Luka manages to stop it.
