Manchester United’s performance in the Europa League yesterday signaled what we fans hope is a turning point for the team. The Man Utd vs. Bodo/Glimt match at Old Trafford ended in songs of “Glory! Glory! Man United!” in the legendary stadium, something that we have all missed quite anxiously for the last half-decade. Is this a sign of the (Ruben) Amorim we never knew we needed?
The Plight of Man Utd Fans
As a Man Utd fan, these past few years have not been easy. It’s been absolute hell to watch the team dwindle and familiarize itself with defeat. Things got to a ‘fever pitch’ after Manchester United finished 8th in the English Premier League 2023/24, the lowest the team has even ended a season in the EPL.
Man Utd vs. Bodo/Glimt Europa League Clash: Ruben Amorim’s First Win at Manchester United a Spark of Hope
Man Utd’s 3-2 win against Bodo/Glimt is perhaps the greatest sign of hope for a Man United redemption I have seen so far. Something was different with the boys. Some fans had previously complained that under Erik ten Hag, the players were seemingly playing in fear.
That changed, however, since Ruben Amorim’s arrival. The newly found tact and formidability of the previously weak Man Utd was palpable. There was a spark in how United played, and it showed the one thing I felt the team was missing under ten Hag…

The Amorim We Never Knew We Needed?
Yesterday’s game showed that the boys could play with heart. For the first time since Gunnar Ole Solskjaer took over at the club, Manchester United played like the legendary team we all know and love.
Therefore, to answer ‘the million dollar’ question, does Man Utd vs. Bodo/Glimt signal a new era of the [Ruben] Amorim we never knew we needed?
Yes! Hell yeah!

#RubenAmorim may just be the man to shift the tide for United and, as a MUFC fan, I am here to enjoy it. And for the first time in a long time, I felt proud to watch the boys fight their way to victory; playing with heart and enjoying themselves.
Welcome, Ruben! Do your magic and let us remind them who we are: Legends!
