Real Madrid Beat BVB to Clinch the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 Title

Viva el Real Madrid! The Spanish giants have done it again and beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 yesterday to clinch the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 title. Real have been phenomenal, especially under coach Carlo Ancelotti and we send a big congratulations to the Spanish giants! What a season!

15 Times the Charm

Of the 18 times Real Madrid have reached the UCL Final, they've won 15 Champions League titles. That is an outstanding achievement that shows that they truly are the best club in European football. Real performed so well this season that we can even foretell them retaining the title next season if the likes of Manchester City do not pull up their socks.

Dani Carvajal and Vini. Jr. for the Win

Yesterday's win against Borussia Dortmund, in the long-awaited UCL 23-24 Final at Wembley, London, was sealed thanks to impeccable performances from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr. Carvajal opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 74th minute, before Vinicius Jr. made it two in the 83rd minute. Both players have been phenomenal this season, as has the entire team.

Congratulations Ancelotti

Perhaps the man deserving the most congratulations, Carlo Ancelotti has been phenomenal as Real Madrid's manager. He's recently said that he'll retire at Real Madrid but seemingly not anytime soon. Ancelotti is perfect for Real Madrid and has a way to inspire his players to be the best. A big big congratulations to the man and what a season champ!

Goodbye Toni Kroos

Sadly, yesterday's final against BVB was Toni Kroos' last game in professional football; as the Real Madrid player had announced that he'd retire at the end of this season. Kroos retired yesterday, in a befitting sendoff, going out strong as a European champion and legend. Kroos' retirement coincided with Marco Reus' retirement, a BVB legend in his own right, who also hung his boots after yesterday's final. Kroos recorded a remarkable 300 wins at Real.

Well Done BVB

Perhaps the story that will get lost in these events is that Borussia Dortmund played exceedingly impressive football this season in the Champions League. BVB brought a lot of heat throughout the season and even in their final against Real Madrid. The German team has shown that it has what it takes and we can't wait to see how they perform next season. I must reiterate that BVB played so well and had the stars been aligned in their favor, players like Adeyemi would have scored two or three goals.
