Pulsating Sevilla Comeback Denies Man United a Deserved Lead in the Europa League Quarterfinals 1st Leg Plus More Results

Sevilla instigated a pulsating comeback in the UEFA Europa League Quarterfinals 1st Leg match against Man United, coming from two behind to end the game in a 2-all draw. Man United maintained control for most of the game and were cruising to what seemed like a deserved win, but were denied a lead in the final minutes. Here's how it went down plus results from the 1st leg of the Europa League Quarterfinals.

A Slumpy Man United in the Europa League Quarterfinals 1st Leg

Manchester United threw away their 2-0 lead against Sevilla yesterday thanks to a sloppy defense. Marcel Sabitzer had put United in a 2-goal lead after scoring a brace and making it 3 goals for his 13 games for United, since being loaned out by Bayern Munich. United went on to throw away the lead, first after a Tyrell Malacia/David De Gea Own Goal (OG) in the 84th minute, imagine that, and second after a Harry Maguire own goal in stoppage time.

Tough Europa League Quarterfinals 2nd Leg Expected for Man United

United were very careless when it mattered most and couldn't defend their lead for all of 10 minutes. Consequently, the 'Red Devils' will now have to be on edge, thanks to a 2-2 aggregate, and up the ante in the 2nd Leg match where they'll play away. This won't be easy at all for United, especially with a Bruno Fernandes yellow card that will see him miss that match and a Marcus Rashford injury that saw him sit out yesterday's match.

Juventus beat Sporting CP in the Europa League Quarterfinals 1st Leg

Things look good for Juventus going into the 2nd leg of the quarterfinals after they managed to beat Sporting CP 1-0. The win is hugely thanks to a Federico Gatti goal in the 73rd minute that put Juve ahead and, luckily, out of reach for Sporting. Juve are now looking to the second leg of the Europa League Quarterfinals with a 1-0 aggregate lead.

Feyenoord Beat Roma

Yesterday also saw Feyenoord beat Roma 1-0 and secure a 1-0 aggregate lead heading into the second leg. Feyenoord were put ahead by a Mats Wieffer goal in the 53rd minute. They'll be looking to repeat and better that scoreline in the second leg and hopefully propel themselves to the Semi-finals.

Leverkusen Draw Union Saint-Gilloise in the 1st Leg of the Europa League Quarterfinals

Leverkusen managed to come back from 1 goal behind to draw 1-1 with Union Saint-Gilloise after Florian Wirtz scored in the 82nd minute. Union Saint-Gilloise had been one goal ahead thanks to a Victor Boniface goal in the 51st minute. Both teams head to the second leg of the Europa League Quarterfinals drawn 1-1 on aggregate.
