I recently purchased the Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC Earbuds and I share my experience in this gadget review.
Oraimo recently released an update to their TWS earbuds and introduced the Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC True Wireless Earbuds (OTW-340). The Oraimo company is a popular mobile phone accessories manufacturer. Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC True Wireless Earbuds Review
The Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC True Wireless Earbuds, which we will simply refer to as Oraimo Airbuds 4 Earbuds are the latest TWS earbuds from Oraimo. The Oraimo Airbuds 4 use True Wireless Technology and will connect to any Bluetooth device within a range of 10 meters.
What is TWS in Earpods?
True Wireless Stereo (TWS) technology is the tech that allows a user to pair two audio devices via Bluetooth meaning that you can pair/transmit the Left (L) and Right (R) channels separately. The tech is a unique Bluetooth feature that delivers true stereo sound quality without necessitating wires or cables. TWS-enabled earpods can receive audio from any device within a range of 10 meters.
List of Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC TWS Earbuds' Features
The Oraimo Airbuds 4 support Bluetooth 5.3, the latest Bluetooth version currently available at the time of writing. The Bluetooth range for the Airbuds 4 is 10 meters. The Oraimo Earbuds 4's playtime is rated at 7 hours on a single charge, with the charging case offering an additional 31 hours of playtime*. The charging input for the charging case is USB Type-C. The Airbuds 4 earbuds also come with touch functionality and each earbud will light up to show whether it is connected via Bluetooth.

Smart LED Power Display
The Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC True Wireless Earbuds come with a Smart LED Power Display that indicates the charge level for each earbud and the charging case. The left earbud's (L) charge level is on the left, the charging case's charge level is on the middle, and the right earbud's (R) charge level is on the right.
Please note that on the LED display, the charge level of each earbud increments by 10%. The charging case's battery level, on the other hand, increments by 1%.
When charging, the charging case battery level will flicker, and on getting to a full charge turn off.
My Experience:
The Smart LED Power Display works perfectly. It allows me to see how fast the charging case is charging when connected to power. It also shows me the battery level of each earbud. As such, if I only need to use one earbud, I can use one and when it's on low power, return it to the case to charge, and pick the other.
Multi-Function Touch Technology
Each Airbuds 4 earbud supports multi-function touch technology and through a series of taps, you can pause and play tracks, and skip to the previous or next track.
The functionality is as follows.

Please note that Oraimo recommends users keep the periods between taps at a maximum of 0.6 seconds. Therefore, to double tap, tap the earbud once and then tap the second time within 0.6 seconds from the first or preceding tap.
My Experience:
The multi-touch on the Airbuds 4 works seamlessly. I can pause and play songs just by touching the earbuds. I can also increase volume and move to the next or previous track. The Airbuds 4 is a really cool gadget.

Battery
The Oraimo Earbuds 4's charging case has a rated battery capacity of 500 mAh. The battery is contained within the charging case and is not removable. The charging case is also magnetic. Therefore, when you bring the earbuds close to their sitting positions, they'll be pulled to the case.
My Experience:
The Airbuds 4's battery lasts long and will charge the case fast. The charging case will also charge the earbuds very fast. See below for the time it takes to charge the case and the earbuds.
Instant Play
The Oraimo Earbuds 4 will connect instantly to a previously paired Bluetooth device once the charging case is opened. When the earbuds are returned to the charging case, they will disconnect from the Bluetooth device and automatically begin charging.
Please note that the light on each earbud will flicker red to show it is not connected to any device and blue when connected to a BT device.
ENC Technology
The Oraimo Earbuds 4 come with Environmental Noise Cancellation, ENC technology. Environmental Noise Cancellation blocks any external noise to provide an enhanced audio experience.
My Experience:
ENC works well and I can barely hear any external noise with the earbuds on.
Phone Calls and Voice Assistant
ENC is particularly useful when making phone calls. It helps make calls audible and ensures that the person on the other end will also hear you clearly, provided you are not in a noisy environment. The Airbuds 4 earbuds also feature a voice assistant.
How to Make and Receive Calls with Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC TWS Earbuds
The multi-touch functionality of the Airbuds 4 for phone calls is as follows.
Receive Call: Tap Twice on One Earbud
Drop Call: Long Press One Earbud
Three-Way Calling:
- When a call B is incoming when you are [already] on a call A, Tap One Earbud Twice to hold the current call A and receive call B.
- Long Press One Earbud for 1 Second to switch between Calls A and B.
- Tap One Earbud Twice to end the current call.
- Alternatively, Long Press One Earbud for 1 Second to Reject the incoming call B.
How to Activate Voice Assistant on the Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC TWS Earbuds
To Activate the Voice Assistant: Long Press the Right (R) Earbud for 1 Second
My Experience:
I have tested the phone call feature and the audio of the person on the other end of the line is clear and they can also hear me clearly. I am yet to test the voice assistant feature. I hope AI-powered voice assistants come to earbuds soon.

IPX4 Waterproof and Sweat Protection
The Oraimo Airbuds 4 Earbuds are rated IPX4 Waterproof and have Sweat Protection. This means that the earbuds can withstand splashes of water and will not be affected by sweat. This makes the earbuds perfect for workouts and in extreme cases, they will hold up well enough to very light rain. The earbuds' case is compact, small, and will fit snugly into your pocket as you work out.
Level of Waterproof Protection to Expect from IPX4
IPX4 is between IPX0 which means no protection and IPX8 which means full protection. As such, the earbuds could be damaged if they fall into water, and stay there for a minute or so. Otherwise, if they are only splashed, dry them immediately with a clean dry cloth to avoid damage.
Please note that only the earbuds have IPX4 waterproof and sweat protection but the charging case does not. If the charging case comes into contact with water, it could be damaged and without the case, you will not be able to charge the earbuds.
My Experience:
The Oraimo Earbuds 4's IPX4 connection works pretty well. Even when you sweat, the earbuds will remain unaffected.
AniFast Fast Charging
The Oraimo Airbuds 4 feature Oraimo's AniFast Fast Charging capability. As a result, with only 10 minutes of charge, the earbuds will play music for 90 minutes. The charging case will charge for anywhere between 2 and 4 hours while the earbuds will charge faster and take between 1 and 2 hours to charge fully.
My Experience:
The earbuds charge quite fast when you put them into the case (about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1hr30mins) and even short charges will give them enough power to play a while (15 minutes of charge for over an hour of music). For the charging case, it also charges pretty fast and will barely go over 2 hours until charging fully.
HavyBass Sound Tuning
The Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC True Wireless Earbuds feature Oraimo's HavyBass Sound Tuning technology which works with the devices's premium composite diaphragm drivers to deliver deep and vibrant bass.
My Experience:
HavyBass Tuning is my favorite feature of the Oraimo Airbuds 4. The bass is just wild.
Pro tip: Test several eartip sizes for a snug fit and the bass will completely immerse you into the beats.
Oraimo Sound App
With the Airbuds 4 ENC, you will get additional tweakability using the Oraimo Sound App. You can toggle the Airbuds 4's equalizer and button controls via the app. You will also see the charge level for both earbuds and the case.
The Oraimo Sound App while connected to the Oraimo Airbuds 4. The app allows users to tweak the earbud's sound via the equalizer, turn on game mode, and check for firmware updates.
The Oraimo Sound App also includes a link to the Airbuds 4's User Manual and you can also use it to check if there is an update to the Airbuds 4's Firmware Version. You can also turn on Game Mode for the earbuds via the app.
Please note that you can get the Oraimo Sound App on the Play Store for Android devices or in the Apple Store for iOS devices. The app requires the location feature to be ON on your phone. The Airbuds 4 will also only connect to the app when Bluetooth is ON on your phone.
My Experience:
The Oraimo Sound App is easy to install and links smoothly to the Airbuds 4. It works well but I couldn't get it to change the music and volume touch functions.
Low-Latency Game Mode
The Airbuds 4 ENC Earbuds also feature a low-latency Game Mode. It works with Bluetooth 5.3 to offer in-game video and audio sync. This way, you will have no audio delays when playing your favorite games, enhancing the experience and making gaming more immersive.

My Experience:
I haven't tested Game Mode yet but judging by how fast the Airbuds 4 connect to my phone and how seamless the audio experience is, I know they'll do well. I'll test game mode and update this post accordingly.
Our Rating: My Overall Experience Using Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC TWS Earbuds
The Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC TWS Earbuds are something else and after weeks of use, I cannot stay away from them. The earbuds are of good quality and their build quality is excellent. Here are the strong points and drawbacks of the Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC:
Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC True Wireless Earbuds Strong Points
The functionality of the Oraimo Airbuds 4 is very seamless and they connect easily via Bluetooth. The Oraimo Sound App also brings in extra functionality, and I can change how the earbuds sound via the in-app equalizer. The app also has a toggle to turn Game Mode on and check for firmware updates. I was, however, unable to get it to change the multi-touch controls.
The Oraimo Sound App adds extra functionality to the Airbuds 4 ENC Earbuds, allowing additional customization.
The sound quality is excellent, especially with HavyBass where the beats are just pretty heavy in a good way. Charging also does not take long and charging the earbuds in the case for 15 minutes will get you over an hour of playing music. The charging case's battery is also long-lasting. With moderate use, you may only have to charge it after a day and a half of use while with heavy use, the charging case will easily get you more than a day of playing music.
I am very impressed with the Oraimo Earbuds 4 and rate them a 9.5/10. They are very very good and high-quality TWS earbuds. I wouldn't advise you to buy any other type or brand of earbuds as the Oraimo Earbuds 4 are plain excellent. I highly recommend them.
Oraimo Airbuds 4 ENC True Wireless Earbuds Drawbacks
The only drawback of Oraimo Airbuds 4 is that the Oraimo Sound App does not allow you to tweak the multi-function touch controls. Apart from that, the earbuds have been fantastic.
