Manchester United Hammer Chelsea Securing the Third Spot in the EPL Table and a Champions League Qualification

Manchester United hammered Chelsea, securing the third spot in the EPL Table and a Champions League qualification. Chelsea were out of their depth and Man United did not relent and brought on the heat like we wish they had done all season.

Manchester United Hammer Chelsea and Secure Number 3 in the EPL Table and a Comfortable UEFA Champions League Qualification

Casemiro, Martial, Bruno Fernandes, and Rashford Put United Ahead

Manchester United played a fantastic game as they hammered Chelsea a thrilling 4-1. Casemiro opened the scoring in the 6th minute, with Anthony Martial making it 2-0 for 'the Red Devils' in stoppage time just before half time. The third goal came from Bruno Fernandes who converted a penalty very calmly in the 73rd minute, with Marcus Rashford crowning the lead in the 78th minute with a fantastic goal of his own. Rashford's goal was his 30th this season, an impeccable performance.

Joao Felix Scores a Reprieve Goal for Chelsea

Chelsea did not leave the match without a goal, thanks to a Joao Felix reprieve goal in the 89th minute. Felix did very well, considering the state Chelsea is currently in.

The team was flailing, wasting numerous chances throughout the game. Wesley Fofana was particularly terrible, conceding a penalty after fouling Fernandes in the box. Chelsea as a team are in the ICU and their new permanent manager, who is reportedly going to be Mauricio Pochettino, has a huge task ahead of him.

Chelsea's Poorest Performance Ever

Chelsea are now 12th in EPL Table with 43 points, the lowest points they have ever finished in the league with. Their performance this season will be their lowest if they do not win the remaining match. Even in terms of goal difference, this season will be their poorest performance ever. The new manager will have to implement some far-reaching changes to change the course of the team.

Injury for Antony as United Hammer Chelsea

Man United's Antony got an ankle injury during the game and had to be carried out on a stretcher. The foul against him didn't seem that bad but Antony was unable to get up and off the field on his own. The injury now makes it uncertain whether Antony will play in the FA Cup Final. We wish him all the best.

Manchester United Take the 3rd Spot in the EPL Table and Secure a Comfortable UEFA Champions League Qualification

The win against Chelsea now means that Man United go up to third in the EPL Table with 72 points. Their performance today also secures them a comfortable spot in the UEFA Champions League next season. As for now, however, Man United are looking to add to their trophy cabinet as they go on to play Manchester City in the FA Cup Final. Erik ten Hag will also be looking to bolster the team in the transfer window.
