Manchester United and Manchester City Bulldoze their Way to the FA Cup Semi-Finals

It's been an entertaining two nights of FA Cup football as Manchester City and Manchester United bulldozed their way to the FA Cup Semi-Finals. Sheffield and Brighton also did the same, making it a 4 team tournament and giving themselves a chance at FA Cup Glory.

Manchester City Bulldoze their Way to the FA Cup Semi-Finals

Manchester City weren't kidding when they said they'll be going to work in the FA Cup Quarter finals. City hammered Burnley a whopping 6-0, making the game feel like a free-for-all with even their sub, Cole Palmer, scoring a goal.

Double Trouble: Haaland Hatrick and Alvarez Brace

As if Erling Haaland had not gotten enough goals in the UEFA Champions League last week where he scored 5, he today scored a hat-trick against Burnley. City's new signee Julian Alvarez was also in the mood for some glory and scored a brace against Burnley. As the clock wound down, the scoreboard read a big 6-0, much to the satisfaction of City players, fans, and coach Pep Guardiola.

Manchester United Pull Off an Impressive Comeback and Bulldoze their way to the FA Cup Semi-Finals

Manchester United were not left behind on the fun in the FA Cup Quarter finals as they pulled off an incredible comeback against Fulham who'd been a goal ahead. Fulham's goal was thanks to Aleksandar Mitrovic. Little did they know that trouble was coming. Mitrovic was later sent off the pitch after shoving the referee.

A Powerful Brace for Bruno Fernandes

United's first goal was a penalty that was converted by Bruno Fernandes after a handball by Fulham's Willian in the box. Willian was shown a red card and sent off. Bruno took the penalty wonderfully. As if United had not gotten their full, Marcel Sabitzer then pulled off an impeccable wondergoal to make it 2-0 for 'The Red Devils'. Bruno was not done and came back to reiterate Man Utd's lead with a second and powerful strike in stoppage time making it 3-0.

Sheffield United Secure a Spot in the FA Cup Semi-Finals

A very strong Sheffield United today secured themselves a spot in the FA Cup Semi-Finals after a 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers. Sheffield were unrelenting in their strike, despite Blackburn Rovers' grit and a Ben Brereton Diaz penalty conversion that kicked off scoring for Rovers in the 21st minute.

Sheffield United Make an Impeccable Comeback

Luck was on their side, however, as their first goal was an own goal by Rovers' Sam Gallagher seven minutes later. Blackburn Rovers then scored their second goal in the 60th minute thanks to Sammie Smodicz. Sheffield then put another behind the net in the 81st minute with an Oli McBurnie goal. They didn't give up and again went in to claim their win with a wonderful Tommy Doyle goal in stoppage time.

Brighton Bulldoze their Way to the FA Cup Semi-Finals

Brighton had a brilliant night also as they showed might with an impeccable 5-0 lead against Grimsby Town. Sheffield bulldozed their way to the FA Cup Semi-Finals after opening the scoring with a Deniz Undav goal in the 6th minute.

Brace for Evan Ferguson

It was then followed by an Evan Ferguson goal in the 51st minute which he later went in to reiterate with a second impeccable strike in the 70th minute. Brighton were now 3-0 ahead but it seems that was not enough for them.

Solly March continued his impeccable performance with Brighton's fourth goal in the 82nd minute only for his teammate Kaoru Mitoma to do the same in the 90th minute, giving Brighton their rare and impressive 5-0 lead.

FA Cup Semi-Finals Draw

Thanks to their impeccable performances, Man United, Man City, Sheffield United, and Brighton will go on to the FA Cup Semi-Finals. The FA Cup Semi-Finals draw is as follows.

  • Manchester City v Sheffield United.
  • Brighton v Manchester United.

Both games will be played on the 22nd of April.
