Manchester City Set to Win the EPL Title After Beating Everton

Man City are well on their way to another EPL Title win and are set to retain the title after beating Everton 3-0. The win now puts Man City at the top of the EPL Table with 85 points, 4 points more than Arsenal who are currently second with 81 points. City also have a game in hand and this means that Arsenal, who have played 36 matches so far, only have two remaining games this season and are unlikely to upend City's lead.

Another Brace for Silky Ilkay as City Beat Everton

City's Ilkay Gundogan scored a brace against Everton, doing the most to secure City's league lead. 'Silky Ilkay' scored his first in the 37th minute, following it up with a second in the 51st minute.

Erling Haaland scored the other goal in the 39th minute continuing his goal domination. Everton were grossly overpowered and did not manage a reply goal.

Arsenal Lose Out on 3 Critical Points as they were beaten by Brighton

Arsenal's fortunes quickly dwindled after they were beaten 3-0 by Brighton. Brighton's Julio Enciso put them ahead with the first goal in the 51st minute, as Deniz Undav went on to make it two in the 86th minute. Pervis Estupinan sealed Brighton's lead with their third in stoppage time. The loss was particularly painful for Arsenal as they were playing at home at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal Lose Out on EPL Title

The loss for Arsenal means that they have now lost out on the English Premier League title, having only two games left to play and being 4 points behind Manchester City who have three games remaining. City need only win one or two of their remaining games, and Arsenal have no hope of catching up with them even if they win both of the remaining matches.

Manchester United Beat Wolves Ascertaining their Intent to Stay in the Top Four

In other EPL GW 36 results, Manchester United beat Wolves 2-0, ascertaining their intent to stay in the EPL top four. Anthony Martial opened the scoring for United in the 32nd minute as Alejandro Garnacho sealed the win for them in stoppage time.

The win for United now means that they are fourth in the EPL Table with 66 points, and also caught up with Newcastle United who are third with 66 points.

Chelsea Draw Nottingham Forest

Chelsea went on to draw Nottingham Forest 2-2 in EPL Gameweek 36, as both teams scrambled for as good a position in the EPL Table as possible. Chelsea remain in eleventh place, now with 43 points, as Nottm Forest avoid relegation and are in 16th place with 34 points.

Double Braces in Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

The matchup between the two saw two braces, one from Chelsea's Raheem Sterling and the other from Nottm's Taiwo Awoniyi. Taiwo put Nottingham ahead, scoring his first in the 13th minute, and later topping it up with his second in the 62nd minute. Raheem Sterling then went on to score his brace, with a first goal in the 51st minute and the second in the 58th minute.

Leeds Draw Newcastle

Leeds United pulled a surprise and drew Newcastle 2-2, denying Newcastle 3 crucial points that would prop up their number 3 spot in the EPL Table. Luke Ayling opened the scoring for Leeds in the 7th minute, with Rasmus Kristensen making it two in the 79th minute. Newcastle are still third in the EPL table, now with 66 points as Leeds are set to be relegated and in 18th place with 31 points.

Callum Wilson Scores a Brace in Newcastle United's Comeback Against Leeds

Newcastle made a comeback, however, with Callum Wilson scoring a brace, to secure at least a point for Newcastle. Wilson's brace was a penalty brace as he converted two penalties, one in the 31st minute and the second in the 69th minute. He was quickly subbed out after his second and got a yellow card on his way out for walking out sluggishly. Nonetheless, it was a powerful performance from him.

Fulham Beat Southampton

Fulham went on to beat Southampton 2-0 in EPL GW 36, further dampening Southampton's chances of coming out of the relegation zone. Fulham are now 10th in the EPL Table with 51 points as Southampton remain last and twentieth, still with 24 points. Southampton are sure to be relegated as they have only won a handful of games in what has been a gory season for them.

Vinicius and Mitrovic Put Fulham Ahead in their Win Against Southampton

Fulham's Carlos Vinicius put them ahead in the 48th minute with his impressive strike, as Aleksandar Mitrovic made it two with his strike in the 72nd minute. Fulham played well and look likely to have a phenomenal season come EPL 2023-24.

Aston Villa Beat Tottenham

The surprises of EPL GW 36 were yet to come as Aston Villa pulled a shocker win against Tottenham beating them 2-1 and dampening their top-four hopes. Jacob Ramsey put Villa ahead in the 8th minute as Douglas Luiz went on to make it two in the 72nd minute.

Spurs Lose Out on Top Four

Harry Kane scored Tottenham's only reply goal in the 90th minute. Tottenham are now seventh in the EPL Table with 57 points, as Aston Villa are 8th, also with 57 points. Spurs' top four hopes now seem flattened with Spurs having to be content with ending up top ten.

Crystal Palace Beat Bournemouth

Crystal Palace beat Bournemouth 2-0 in EPL GW 36, further propelling themselves even closer to the top ten. Crystal Palace are now 12th in the EPL Table with 42 points, as Bournemouth are 14th with 39 points.

Crystal Palace's win was thanks to an Eberechi Eze brace. Eze scored his first in the 39th minute, going on to score his second in the 58th minute in what was an impeccable performance from the Crystal Palace forward.

Brentford Beat West Ham

'The Bees' were buzzing as they went on to beat West Ham 2-0 in Gameweek 36 of the Premier League. Bryan Mbeumo put Brentford ahead in the 20th minute as Yoane Wissa made it 2-0 with his 43rd-minute strike. Brentford are now 9th in the EPL Table with 53 points, as West Ham are 25th with 37 points.
