Cristiano Ronaldo is Coming Back to Manchester United

Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United was elated to announce that Cristiano Ronaldo would be coming back to Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo is coming back to Manchester United after United agreeing a 32 million euro deal with Juventus to have the player come back home to Manchester United. Ronaldo will sign a two-year deal and was sold for 32 million euros with three million euros more in bonuses. He will reportedly be paid upwards of $600,000 a week and is set to have a phenomenal effect on the Red Devils. The deal is pegged on visa, medical, and agreement on personal terms.

Cristiano Ronaldo is without doubt one of the greatest players of our generation, having racked up 5 Ballon d’Ors, only eclipsed by Lionel Messi who recently moved to Paris Saint-Germain. Cristiano Ronaldo first came to Manchester United in 2003 and played for the club until 2009. He left for Real Madrid in 2009 and stayed there for nine years until 2018. In 2018, he left for Juventus until now, 2021, when he is coming back to Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo Career Stats

Cristiano joined Manchester United back in 2003 after being brought in by the then coach Sir Alex Ferguson. He scored 118 goals for Man United in 292 games and gave 43 assists. He won ten trophies in United, one of them being the UEFA Champions League. He is the only Manchester United player to score more than 30 goals in the English Premier League.

For Juventus, which he joined in 2018, Cristiano scored 101 goals and won five trophies with the club. He, however, did not win the Champions League with Juve even after scoring 14 goals in the league. For Real Madrid which he joined in 2009, Cristiano scored a whopping 450 goals in 438 matches and he is the club’s top scorer of all time. He averaged a scores-to-games ratio of 1.03, an incredible feat and performance.

CR7 Career Stats for Portugal National Team

For his national team, Portugal, Ronaldo scored 109 goals in 179 matches. He scored as many goals as Ali Dael of Iran and no one else except the two have ever scored more goals for their national team, in the entire history of football. In a summary, since he joined the English Premier League in 2003, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 476 goals in 586 league appearances (a 0.81 goals-to-games ratio), the most goals scored by any player in all of the five largest European leagues. For Man United, Ronaldo is one of only four players to win the Ballon d’Or while playing the club, joining legends and ‘the holy trinity’ comprising Denis Law, Bobby Charlton, and George Best. CR7 has also won the European Super Cup and has been described as a ‘serial scorer”.

I'm Biased about CR7 but I'm Not Sorry

I am a Manchester United fan myself and so I am kind of biased on this issue. But anyway, who better to talk about love than a lover or a man in love? Manchester United have got the best news for the club in the last 20 years. Cristiano Ronaldo will bring a kind of motivational force to United that the club has never seen before. His move to United is hands down a game-changer. He used to play with our manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and even as Ole did not want to speculate, you could feel the excitement when speculations started going around that CR7 was coming back to United.

CR7: An Institution

Cristiano Ronaldo is an institution; the man lives and breathes football. Cristiano is an avid worker, he can do trips around the pitch, play some ninety minutes of football and still head to the gym and do a few sessions of lifts, cardio, and treadmill. He is an animal. He is such a superstar and only Messi has reached the heights of football prowess that Cristiano Ronaldo has reached. He is what I, David Mania, would call a ‘madman’.

Cristiano Ronaldo as a Mentor to Young and Upcoming Manchester United Players

The biggest impact that Ronaldo will have on Manchester United is teaching and showing the young players in the club how to live and breathe football. These include the likes of Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, and Marcus Rashford. Ronaldo will teach them the art of football and even as Manchester City reportedly rejected a $33 million bid for the 37-year-old player, Man United needs his experience and expertise.

I would even say that Cristiano Ronaldo has a good chance of ending up as the coach of Manchester United. He is expected to retire soon but is by no means anywhere near giving up time on the pitch. Old Manchester United players say that we could see him score 30 goals for the club this season, effortlessly.

He is just that good. Others speculate that Ronaldo could help Manchester United win the English Premier League this season, after 8 years of not lifting the cup. Goals; that’s the other thing Cristiano will bring that Manchester United really needs this season. Goals and lots of goals. Cristiano is a striker like a bullet, once he has the ball and is anywhere near the goal post, however many yards far away, he can create magic. He is only eclipsed in terms of his lethal scoring ability by Lionel Messi, who, some would argue, is sometimes bested by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano is "a Striker like a Bullet" - David Mania

Cristiano Ronaldo is exactly what Manchester United needs to go back to its glory days. He reportedly was convinced to come back by Sir Alex Ferguson and had been in communication with Bruno Fernandes, another player who is instrumental to Manchester United’s campaign this season.

According to Rio Ferdinand, a former success story in Man United, Ronaldo had, I repeat, “had to talk to Sir Alex” before even considering coming back to the club. According to Rio, “that’s just the way it is.” Sir Alex Ferguson, therefore, did Manchester United another huge solid, as the legendary manager he is. Sir Alex, like Arsene Wenger, retired coach at Arsenal, is one of the greatest coaches in football and many wish that he could unretire, go back to his younger years and come back to coaching the club. Again, he is also just that good.

CR7: The Best Gift for Man Utd Forwards

The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Greenwood, Sancho, Rashford, and the entire striking squad at Manchester United have been given the best gift any striker would ask for. Cristiano Ronaldo will not only bring quality but also lots of confidence to the Man United players that they have a force lethal enough to penetrate any defense on the planet. Hand CR7 one of Pogba’s solid passes and he is sure to put it in the net.

Give Fernandes, Pogba, or Rashford a solid pass or assist from Cristiano and they will almost certainly convert it into a goal. Players such as Jadon Sancho and Greenwood who are new to the club will also benefit from learning the instrumentalism of scoring quality and numerous goals. Sancho may benefit a lot, a whole lot, from playing with Cristiano Ronaldo and this could be what guarantees him a long and successful career. Don’t get me wrong, Sancho is already a good player but to be truly great, CR7 will play a huge role in showing him the ropes.

Will Man City Regret Not Signing Cristiano?

For the English Premier League this season, Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Manchester United could be a source of sore regret for Manchester City. City have a powerful team but have now seen and in a way, ‘allowed’, their home rivals Manchester United get a huge bump on the quality of their team. We, Man United fans cannot wait for a Manchester Derby. You can imagine our shockingly sweet joy after hearing that Cristiano Ronaldo is coming back to Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo is coming back home.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, and all other clubs that look promising this season will have to up their A-game to beat Manchester United. City have to keep activating Gabriel Jesus, Kevin De Bruyne, and the likes as will Liverpool need to sharpen Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Robert Firmino. Chelsea also needs to quickly inspire the best of Romelu Lukaku and activate Werner, after recently selling Tammy Abraham to Roma for 34 million euros. Abraham said that Jose Mourinho and his presence in Roma convinced him to make the move and that he is in Roma “to win”.

Chelsea Draw Liverpool

Chelsea drew Liverpool 1-1 yesterday, after a penalty kick taken by Mohamed Salah resulting from a handball from Reece James. Chelsea’s goal was a header from Kai Havertz, a promising player and star. There was also controversy as Reece James was sent off the game and shown a red card. According to Klopp, the red card might have “destroyed the game”. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, on the other hand, said that it was a “spoiler”.

Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel, and Pep Guardiola are really good managers but now Solskjaer has a force good enough to give them and their teams a run for their money. We sometimes forget that Manchester United is a club rich enough and with such a rich heritage that it is a powerhouse. Old Trafford is coming and it’s coming with a force that can only be likened to the Star Force. Like Star Wars, this EPL season is going to be a saga and we are all popcorn and theater watching it unfold. The Future Looks Grim for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal

Manchester City showed good effort this game week as they humiliated Arsenal 5-0, with goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri, Gabriel Jesus, and a brace from Ferran Torres yesterday. At this point, Arsenal fans and the team’s patience with Mikel Arteta is likely in the negative now. Arteta needs to do something to bring the club outside the black hole of losses and failure it is currently in. The loss to Man City was the third consecutive loss and the first time in 67 years that Arsenal has lost all three league opener games.

We feel like Arsenal is bagging too much weight on Aubameyang to lift the club and change its losing ways that it is more likely to do harm than good. At this point, Arsenal needs to make use of what’s left of the transfer window and their finances to bring positive change to the club. The alternative, however, is losing all these games and killing the morale of the team. Arsenal needs a miracle of some sort to reinvigorate its squad and that could just be as easy as signing a really good player.

In the 5-0 loss to Man City, the goalpost was almost unmanned and the keeper was overly overwhelmed. There was also a red card handed to Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka, further dampening the team’s morale. As such, Arsenal should look to strengthen its defense and concentrate on further training for its goalkeepers. If a new league entrant such as Brentford FC can beat Arsenal, then ‘The Gunners’ are out of firepower and will likely be gunned out of the league. Yes; it is that bad.
