Chelsea and Bayern Munich Make It to the UCL Quarterfinals as PSG and Tottenham Drop Out

The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Leg 2 is underway and so far tables have been turning wildly. For starters, Chelsea and Bayern Munich made it to the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals as PSG and Tottenham dropped out. Here's how it went down.

Chelsea Knock Borussia Dortmund Out of the Champions League

In their second-leg matchup, Chelsea were the better team and beat BVB 2-0. Borussia Dortmund had beaten them 1-0 in their first leg match but Chelsea now were 2-1 ahead on aggregate. Chelsea, therefore, are going to the UCL Quarterfinals and BVB are not.

Bayern Munich Kick Paris Saint-Germain Off the Champions League

In one of the most anticipated UCL Round of 16 Leg 2 matches, Bayern Munich once again beat Paris Saint-Germain. They'd beaten PSG 1-0 in the first leg but now beat them 2-0, making it a 3-0 aggregate lead. Consequently, Bayern Munich are going to the UCL Quarterfinals but PSG aren't.

The second leg game between the two was good enough, however, though it was marred with numerous offsides and rejected goals. PSG couldn't, at the end of the day, best Bayern and now have to contend with being out of the UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham Drop Out of the UEFA Champions League

Things didn't go well for Tottenham as they drew 0-0 with AC Milan in the UCL Round of 16 Leg 2 match. This was terrible for Spurs as AC Milan had beaten them 1-0 in the first leg match meaning that AC Milan ended up being 1-0 ahead on aggregate. And just like that, Tottenham dropped out of the UEFA Champions League with AC Milan proceeding to the Quarterfinals.

Benfica Kick Club Brugge Off the UCL

In another interesting matchup, Benfica beat Club Brugge a whopping 5-1 in the UCL Round of 16 Leg 2 match, after beating the team 2-0 in the Leg 1 match. What this meant, therefore, is Benfica were ahead 7-1 on aggregate and would be proceeding to the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals with a huge smile on their face. For Club Brugge, however, the game was a nightmare and their journey in the UCL 22-23 ends there.

UCL Round of 16 Leg 2 Fixtures
