Champions League Quarter Final Qualifiers: Man United Fails to Qualify for UCL Last 8
The first leg of the UCL quarterfinals will kick off on 5th April with Benfica facing off with Liverpool and Man City playing against Atletico Madrid.
In terms of the Champions League quarter-final qualifiers, Manchester United failed to qualify for the UCL last 8 after losing 0-1 to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday and losing 1-2 on aggregate.
Teams that Qualified for the UCL Quarter Finals
Bayern qualified for the UCL quarter-finals after a strong 7-1 performance against RB Salzburg giving them an 8-2 aggregate lead. Liverpool also qualified despite losing 1-0 to Inter Milan on Tuesday as they were leading 2-1 in aggregate. Manchester City drew 0-0 with Sporting but qualified due to a strong aggregate lead of 5-0.
PSG and Man United Drop Out of the UCL
Real Madrid also qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals after beating PSG 3-1 on Wednesday and also 3-2 on aggregate. Similar to PSG, Manchester United failed to qualify for the last 8 after losing 1-0 to Atletico Madrid and 1-2 on aggregate.
Benfica, Villareal, and Chelsea also Qualify for the UCL Quarter Finals
Benfica also qualified for the last 8 after beating Ajax 1-0 and 3-2 on aggregate. Villareal were too strong for Juventus and qualified after defeating Juve 3-0 on Wednesday and 4-1 on aggregate. The final qualifier was Chelsea who qualified after a 2-1 win against Lille and also beating LOSC 4-1 on aggregate.
UCL Quarter Finals Fixtures
The first leg of the UCL quarterfinals will kick off on 5th April with Benfica facing off with Liverpool and Man City playing against Atletico Madrid. On the 6th, Villareal will battle it out with Bayern Munich and Chelsea will play against Real Madrid.
The second leg will kick off on 12th April with Bayern facing off with Villareal and Real Madrid battling it out with Chelsea. On the 13th, Atletico Madrid will play against Manchester City and Liverpool will go head-to-head with Benfica.
UCL Semi-Final Predictions
Our predictions for the teams that will qualify for the Champions League Semi-Finals are as follows. Liverpool will beat Benfica with an aggregate of 3-2. Manchester City will edge Atletico Madrid with a 4-1 aggregate. Bayern Munich, on its part, will beat Villareal with an aggregate of 5-3 and Chelsea may narrowly beat Real Madrid but with an aggregate of only 2-1.
