Arsenal and Man City Win in their Respective Games in EPL GW 25, Intensifying the Race for the Premier League Title

Arsenal and Manchester City won in their respective games in EPL Gameweek 25, intensifying the race for the league title. The two teams are now the teams to beat in the English Premier League and seem most apparent to lift the league title. Arsenal have continually kept up their momentum of wins, with Manchester City not letting them get that much further ahead of them in Premier League Standings.

Arsenal Beat Leicester in Hard-Fought EPL GW 25 Faceoff

Arsenal further cemented their Premier League Standings lead by beating Leicester City 1-0 in a hard-fought game, acquiring the three precious points to propel them further up the EPL table. Gabriel Martinelli scored Arsenal's goal but suffered an injury in the process. There were several misfires, moreover, as both teams had at least one goal denied. For instance, Arsenal's Saka had a goal denied for offside. Leicester played an impeccable game, on their part, but couldn't hone an edge over a very consistent Arsenal.

Manchester City Thrash Bournemouth

Manchester City thrashed Bournemouth 4-1 confirming their intent and sheer determination to give Arsenal a run for their money. Man City played a much-improved game as compared to their UCL game against RB Leipzig. City were much more energetic and intentional this time and this showed in the result. Man City's four goals were scored by Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Chris Mepham. Bournemouth's single reply, on the other hand, was scored by Jefferson Lerma.

A Slumped Liverpool Draws Crystal Palace

As if things couldn't get worse for Liverpool, the team drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace in GW 25 of the EPL 22-23. As we have seen them many times this season, Liverpool came off as stunted and lacked the fervor to even score a single goal. Liverpool's performance of late has brought up questions on whether manager Jurgen Klopp should be sacked and we find ourselves mulling over that very question.

Will Liverpool Sack Jurgen Klopp?

Liverpool's performance of late is very concerning. We know that sometimes teams catch other teams unawares and perform very well only to slump, but sometimes it's too much. Liverpool has been and was a top-tier team in the EPL and for two good seasons, were the team to beat. Whatever happened between then and now, including with Jurgen Klopp's ability to coach the team to success, evades us. Liverpool just a week ago lost 5-2 to Real Madrid in the UCL Round of 16 Leg 1. Read more about this match below.

That being said, Jurgen Klopp is, unfortunately, looking as if he's near the end of his role as manager of the club and head coach. He is such an experienced and very skilled coach to be losing games left, right, and center, as he is, and something needs to change if he is going to keep his job.

Other EPL Gameweek 25 Results

In other EPL GW 25 results, Wolves drew 1-1 with Fulham, Aston Villa beat Everton 2-0, and West Ham beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 (an impeccable performance). Leeds United, on their part, beat Southampton 1-0. Newcastle's game against Brighton was postponed and Chelsea will face Tottenham today.

EPL Table thus Far
