EPL GW 1 Results - EPL 23/24

Man City and Arsenal Shine

Premier Haaland

Manchester City opened the new season of the Premier League with a 3-0 victory over Burnley, hugely thanks to a brace by the “goal machine” Erling Haaland. Haaland showed that he meant business as he went on to score his first in the 4th minute, topping up the scoreline with a cherry second in the 36th minute. Rodri made it 3 for “The Blues’ with his goal in the 75th minute.

Arteta’s Strong Start

Arsenal weren’t left behind and made their mark in their first EPL 23-24 game with a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest. Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring in the 26th minute, with Bukayo Saka making it two with his 32nd-minute conversion. Nottm, however, managed a reprieve goal thanks to Taiwo Awoniyi’s strike in the 82nd minute.

Strong Starts for Newcastle and Brighton

Isak All the Way!

Newcastle United, for their part, had a strong start partly thanks to last season’s signing Alexander Isak. Newcastle hammered Aston Villa 5-1, with Sandro Tonali opening the scoring in the 6th minute. Isak then went on to score his first in the 16th minute and made it two come the 58th minute. Callum Wilson, on his part, made it three in the 77th minute, before Harvey Barnes sealed the lead for Newcastle in stoppage time. AVL only managed a single-goal reply that was made by Moussa Diaby in the 11th minute.

Solly March opened the scoring for Brighton in the 6th minute, with Joao Pedro converting a penalty in the 71st minute. Simon Adingra made it three for Brighton in the 85th minute, as Evan Ferguson sealed the lead in stoppage time.
