Manchester United's journey in the FA Cup came to a sour end today as Manchester City beat them 2-1 to win the FA Cup Title. City have now won 2 cups of the 3 they are after to complete their treble. Here's all the action.

Quickest Goal in FA Cup Final History

Man City were put ahead by an Ilkay Gundogan goal just 13 seconds from kickoff. Gundogan's goal is now the quickest goal in FA Cup Final history. Bruno Fernandes came on to equalize for Man United, converting a penalty in the 33rd minute that had resulted from a Jack Grealish handball in the box. The handball was controversial but VAR had the final word and the penalty was given.

Brace for Captain Ilkay Gundogan

'Silky Ilkay' was not done, however, and played his cards very sleekly, going on to score his second goal in the 51st minute. Interestingly, Gundogan stuck farther out when the corner was being taken, as everyone else scampered towards the goal, giving him the opportunity and a clear path to score. Gundogan's performance today was phenomenal, to say the least.

It's a Donner for Man United in the FA Cup

Man United weren't so lucky, even with club legends Alex Ferguson and David Beckham watching, United couldn't outdo City. City played really really well and United mostly did a job of catching up. Their performance wasn't all that bad, however, but is sure to need some sharpening as they prepare themselves for EPL next season and the next season of the UEFA Champions League.
